I previously wrote a great review for Dr.Mitchell's office and would have recommended her until I had an emergency situation. I had sudden extreme tooth pain the night before Thanksgiving and called the after hours number. Dr. Mitchell returned the call a few hours later and told me to take Tylenol and Ibuprofen (which I told her I am unable to take). The pain was so intense that Tylenol provided no relief. She said I could take more Tylenol and try an antibiotic (without checking to see if I needed an antibiotic). I asked if it was possible to be seen over the weekend and she actually laughed. She told me no one would see me over the holiday weekend. I was shocked and dismayed at her complete lack of care or concern. I called another dentist who retuned my call in less than 30 mins and prescribed pain medication to get me through Thanksgiving. He made a special trip to his office to see me on Friday to evaluate the situation and determine if antibiotics were needed along with treatment. I’m grateful I found him. This is the kind of dentist I want for my family in an emergency. I only have nice things to say about Dr. Mitchell's staff--they are wonderful. However, I would never return to Dr. Mitchell and not recommend her to anyone. She is not the person you want in an emergency situation with her complete lack of compassion and concern for patients.
