Huebner Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics

I love it here! The staff are extremely nice. It's a very welcoming environment. The doctor i had (Dr. Bustos) was great as well. She didn't try to make me gey extra stuff like some dentists do. She had my best interests at heart and i can honestly say this is the best dentist/ orthodontists' office I've ever been to.

Dr. Bustos has been my dentist for years. She is excellent and I have referred several of my friends and family to her. Overall the clinic is great (appointments, cleanliness, equipment, etc.). I am rating it 4 instead of 5 stars for the following reasons:
1. The music coming out of the clinic wide speakers is too loud and competes unpleasantly with the sound from the TV/videos in the treatment rooms. I know that sounds picky but it is annoying. I asked them to either turn-off the speaker in the room or turn it down but apparently they can't do that (hmmm).
2. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth on my visit 6/6/21 (I believe he said his name was Lucille or Lucius) kept spraying water all over my face. I have never had this kind of issue before with the other hygienists. I think he is new as he did not know how to set up my next appointment.
I hope that Lucille/Lucius gets more training.

Phenomenal service! State-of-the-art equipment! Best people in the world work there! So friendly so kind. I can't believe I'm writing this about a dentist office, but it's true! I will recommend all my friends to this place.
I am looking forward to the rest of my family visiting here. Thank you doctors and staff! 😊🙌❤️😁

I have had alot of work done at this dentist office. They are nice and work at making things right. I have been a patient here since the location opened several years back.

I have read through a few of the reviews here and it seems like it is either loved or hated by their customers.

I have been trying to get some ..work done here for a very long time. And I just can't help but feel like something is wrong. It is not a good feeling. It feels like they no longer want my family's business and are making it as difficult as possible for us to get the treatment we need.

It is frustrating and leads to phone calls where I have to be stern and assertive to make any headway. A staff member even commented to my daughter that we are famous around there. Im not sure if it was sincere or a dig at drama.

What it all boils down to is that I and my husband both now have a year worth of FSA funds to use before the end of the year or we lose it. It is close to $3000.00

I cant afford to wait 3 weeks at a time for them to send treatment plans to my insurance and then the insurance to turn them down and to do it again and again. If something doesn't change soon, I'm going to have to find a new dentist office, but to be honest, it feels like that is what they would like to have happen.

Awesome experience today with Josh the Hygienist. Best I have had. Took his time, always telling me what he was doing, professional, friendly, efficient and personable.

Dr Bustos is the best Dentist I have never had. I’m 65 years old and have had numerous dentist but no one compares to Dr Bustos. She always has a smile, detailed with her explanations and always listens to my concerns.

My partner and I absolutely love going to Huebner Smiles Dentistry! I don’t know anyone who loves going to the dentist, but if you have to go it might as well be here. The staff is so kind and helpful. The location is great and the amenities are top notch! They have the latest equipment and love that there are 2 TVs in every room so you can watch while you’re sitting up straight ahead and then on the ceiling for when you’re lying down! And then there is a complimentary alcohol that is served to you if you ask (patron or grey goose anyone???)! I actually prefer the Capri suns and water they provide but nice touch with the top shelf alcohol to calm your nerves! The best part about this place for us is their business hours! They are open every day of the week and til 7pm on the weekdays which makes it easy to work around our work schedules! We just moved to New Braunfels and are still choosing to stay at this location because we like it so much!

By far the most impressive dental practice I’ve been to. They have the most up-to-date technology and equipment, and are very diligent in following covid precautions. Office staff are both courteous and professional; they greet and acknowledge first time patients and explain what they’re doing and why they’re doing it before performing any procedure.

Hands down BEST EVER experience at a dentist office! The front desk was super friendly when checking me in for my appointment. My dental hygienist Gaby was sweet, caring, thorough, and skillful! She made sure I was constantly informed of what she was doing and why. She even told me the price of an additional (definitely beneficial) treatment she offered up front, so I could decide whether I wanted it. Dr. Malagayo was also kind and professional, and made sure I had all my questions answered. They didn't offer me anything I didn't need. Check out process was quick and easy. Will be coming back here for all my dental needs- will never go anywhere else again! Thank you guys!

I highly recommend Huebner Smiles Dentistry. Real story (and quite long, but this will tell you why i love this place), I went to two different dentist regarding a cracked molar. The first referred me to an oral surgeon, which i couldn't get an appointment until mid-June. I told them i was in extreme pain, but still not until mid-June. Disappointing.

Secondly, I was referred to another dentist on a Saturday because they were open and took me in as a walk in because i shared was was in extreme pain and i wasn't able to sleep, eat or even drink water. I was told since i had an infection on my tooth (granted, i had been taking antibiotics for over a week and half) that they couldn't pull, but they could drill the tooth down so it wouldn't hurt when my teeth touched. Well, i figured if you can put those big needles to numb me to drill the tooth down, why can't you just extract the tooth. Needless to say, the tooth was drilled down and told to take my antibiotics and pain meds which they would call in (they never called them in).

Saturday night was a nightmare, no sleep again, severe pain and guess what......woke up Sunday with my whole left side on my cheek/jaw swollen. Looked like i had 10 packs of gum in my mouth. I had fever as well my whole face was flushed. I called the dentist i went to on Saturday and of course couldn't get me in. Said he "would try and get me in on Monday". Well heck, that just wasn't soon enough, but i struggled the whole day with the excruciating pain and no eating or drinking.

Monday morning came around and i called the dentist's and they told me i would be seen at noon and not to eat because i would need to be sedated. My grandson looked up their reviews and whoa.....so many bad reviews, so i got anxiety about going back. He called Huebner Smiles and was impressed with the girl that answered the phone.

They took me in right away, waited on me to get there and so professional and totally empathetic on my situation. Dr. Bustos was amazing and explained everything to me the options and was down right honest. So get this, she was so awesome that she numbed me, knew i was anxious and talked me through, kept asking if i felt pain (which as time went on I didn't) and then before i knew it ........the molar was out! I couldn't believe how swift and quick she was about extracting the tooth. Such relieve and grateful that she took care of me.

I will say, this is my new dental home for my grandson and me. They are professional from the time you call, walk in the office and get treatment until the time you walk out the door.

Again.......true Story. They deserve this review because without them i would probably have wound up in the hospital. Give them a try, they do not disappoint!!!
