DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! They advertise emergency dental services but you make an appointment and they do EVERYTHING but what you actually went there for. Totally unnecessary X-rays and evaluations. Wasted 90 minutes there before I was told they wouldn’t do any kind of extraction or repair on my first visit. That would have been good information to know up front before you wasted my afternoon when I could have had it taken care of elsewhere. There are better places to go in the Clarksburg and Bridgeport areas. Stay away, stay very far away from this place. It would not let me post this review without giving it at least one star. It should have received zero.

From the fist phone call I made to the office visit I had yesterday, July 23, I received the most kind, thoughtful and professional treatment. My introduction to my visit yesterday was in the person of Holly. She was professional by explaining every procedure she was going to do to me. Then I spoke with Dr. Evans who explained what he saw and gave me a treatment plan with 2 choices. Then I spoke with Sarah who explained the payment options. I will be a spokes person for Aspen Dental.

I was satisfied with my visit and the future of my dental needs were thoroughly addressed however, I came in for an immediate concern, am in discomfort and was told I had to wait 2 weeks. This is not indicative of the advertising for patient care , not advised this during my call for an appointment etc. I was place in a waiting list.-

Had the first appointment and was not impressed. All I wanted was a routine cleaning and exam. The lady taking X-rays was touching the wall in between X-rays then trying to use the same hand to handle the X-ray plates that go in your mouth. #Yuck! They offered a few extras like an oral cancer screening. After the exam I was advised I need a gum cleaning(aka root planing) and they REFUSED to do my routine cleaning until I got the gum cleaning. That’s like taking your car to a garage for a brake job and the shop refusing to fix your brakes because your tires are bald. It’s the patient’s right to choose the services they receive, not the corporation’s dictation of a treatment. No payment plan or sliding scale offered.

The initial visit was Awesome, the comprehensive exam seemed very thorough and the staff seemed to explain everything or so I thought. Needed 3 crowns and a bridge redone. Not a cheap endeavor. Decided to start with 2 crowns and a cleaning. Cleaning went well and they scheduled the 1st 2 crowns. That’s where it went downhill. I already paid $700 out off pocket plus my insurance covering the rest for the 2 crowns. Turns out I was over charged for the wrong type of crowns. That’s ok people make mistakes. When I asked for paperwork to document the over charge, I was told when you come in next time we will have that and my third crown should only cost $150-250 more with my credit and the temporaries that were installed caused unbearable pain that I had to go back. When I got the temporary fixed, I asked for the documentation and to my surprise my credit was only going to be $175 and my third crown would cost almost $700 more. I was so mad, I had to walk out. I’ve since had my permanents installed and my teeth are not right, I’m going to have to go to another dentist but they also say I owe them $700 more because my insurance denied the claim stating the work was unnecessary by an independent review of my X-rays.
When I asked for all my documentation and the credit, they office manager was smug and said she could not provide me with anything and I would have to contact customer care. I was irate to say the least and was threaten to have the police called on me so I left and called customer care. It’s been 2 weeks and I still have yet to hear from customer care. If you decide to give them a try, buyer beware. If my teeth were correct and I knew the status of my billing, I would not have wasted my time on a review. The bad thing is a coworker had work done at another office and warned me but I didn’t listen.

Everyone at Aspen Dental was very nice and friendly. However, their prices was way way too expensive. I have pretty good insurance and they still are way over priced. I have a printout of everything they wanted to do and its totally ridiculous. There are several other dentists in the area that are very nice and friendly and the other dentists don't charge an arm, a leg and 3 bank accounts. Take my advice and go to the other small dentists in the area instead of a big corporation that is not from West Virginia. You and your wallet will thank yourself for going somewhere else besides Aspen Dental, which is total RIP OFFS!!

Absolutely awful experience, the staff is horrible and can’t seem to do their job correctly. I came in to get a crown and when they did the impression they kept doing it wrong 3 times before they did it properly. Then they never ended up sending the impression out after 2 weeks so they called to tell me that they didn’t have the crown because they never ordered it. They always run behind and the dental assistant never wears their mask correctly nor do they follow any proper CDC guidelines. Don’t wast your time or money here

I had an okay experience but I felt like communication really lacked here. I mainly ended up talking to the financial/office manager.
I went in for tooth pain. The assistants were very nice but didn't really give me any info. Two people tried to upsell me to braces/invisalign... I was more worried about the tooth pain and felt like that could have waited. At the end of my visit, the tooth pain still hadn't been addressed so I asked what I needed to do for the pain and was told I would have to talk to the office manager... who basically just gave me an estimate printout for an expensive gum treatment they thought I needed and an extraction.
I had to make another appointment for the next week for the extraction, which went fine and the dentist did good work on, but then I was told someone would go over post extraction procedures with me afterward. I had to ask because no one gave me anything before telling me I could leave. After asking, I was finally given a basic instruction sheet and a few pieces of gauze and told to change it every half an hour until it stopped bleeding. I ended up searching online about any questions I had afterward.
I felt like the work I received on the actual extraction was good but I had to ask a bunch of questions and people kept trying to upsell things to me that I didn't necessarily need at the time (ie a $30 oral cancer screening or invisalign, etc. There's even a $100+ electric toothbrush on the recommendations on the estimate). Then I ended up having to wait over a weekend and just take otc pain meds to get in for an extraction.
I felt like I was a number just being moved through and I was being upsold for other products than what I came for. Plus, I had to ask repeatedly about addressing the issue I came in for and to get any aftercare info.

The staff was nice but I wouldn't recommend this place unless you have really good insurance or deep pockets and don't care about the wasted money from hidden cost. They offered me an unnecessary procedure and would not do any of the critical procedures until I did the unnecessary one.

Everyone was prompt and polite. It was a very rewarding experience. I had to have my bottom denture repaired. It was repaired in just a couple hours and fit great. I will be going back to have a new one made. I was very pleased and would highly recommend them.
