Well I went to aspen for a tooth ache and had to do a gingivitis treatment because of my gums being in bad condition so when i went to the business office and paid the $400 for the filling and gingivitis treatment and tooth filling i came back a few days later to have it done while suffering because they could not get me in sooner and everything went all good after they fixed my tooth. Except for the next time i went down to have the check up on my gums to make sure they were healing up. Little did i know they had more planned for me that i was not aware of cost wise and they did not tell me that the cleaning they were about to do to my teeth was not part of the check up for my gums and i was unknowingly hit with a $125 bill in the mail for the cleaning. When i made the appointment for my gums to be checked i did not tell them to do a cleaning to my teeth and i find it awful that i was not made aware that what they were going to do was going to cost me more money especially when i never requested a cleaning to be done in the first place. Not only that but they failed to call me to notify me that my appointment they made me for my gums to be checked originally was canceled and i drove 60 miles to aspen dental from Ritchie county for no reason because these idiots cant do their job right and call to notify me of this because of the covid 19 pandemic if that wasn't bad enough they lied straight to my face about calling me that night to reschedule the appointment i had to call them myself a week or so later to reschedule the appointment. . I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO ASPEN THEY WILL TRY TO SQUEEZE MONEY OUT OF YOU BY PERFORMING SERVICES THAT YOU DID NOT REQUEST.

The employees at Aspen Dental were courteous and professional. The office was neat and clean. They have very new technology including digital impressions (which I was VERY IMPRESSED with!). The setting was modern and I was made comfortable with a tv set while in the dental chair. The only detail I had any problem with was that I had a long wait for the dental hygenist.

I went with my daughter, 24 to her appt, a tooth extraction...
She had been in previously on May 20, seeking urgent care for a broken tooth & in a great deal of pain. Nothing was done at that time but a scan/assessment, and scheduling the appt for the extraction, scheduled for Jun 3 @ 9am
Upon arrival Jun3 (about 8:45), my daughter gave her name, was asked what she there for and was then informed that her appt had been at 8am & therefore had been missed...
My daughter assured the nice lady her appt card did indeed say 9am, she was then asked to show the card...my daughter contacted her employer because the appt card had been submitted for scheduling purposes so she would be able to have the time off & excused due to the appt.
Her employer sent her a photo of the card, with the date & time being Thurs, Jun 3 @ 9am...
She was told to have a seat and they would see what they could do if anything and figure out what had happened.
10-15 mins later, the nice lady informed her that she would have to reschedule. They didnt know what had happened but there was nothing that could be done but to rescheduled.
That's when I stepped in, and insisted that something needed to be done because she had already waited 2 wks, she is in pain, cant eat, time off of work etc....the nice lady said that I could speak to the office manager....I said ok.
I waited, 3 other patients went back, I heard the other lady talking to someone saying...."....and someone gave her a card w/ 9am on it...." ...I continued to wait...I stood patiently at the counter, thinking that they were probably stalling in the hopes that I would give up & just leave without talking to the office manager....
Finally, the lady (I assume the mgr, she never said, nor gave her name) came to the counter, apologetically saying she had to reschedule, the earliest time being Monday @ noon, said she didnt know what had happened because my daughter was never on the schedule...
I asked her how that was possible vecause when we had walked in she was told she had missed her appt at 8....so was she not scheduled? Or was it at 8?...
She again apologized, continuously calling me Hon, or Honey...assured me thatvshe had no idea what happened but she was somehow not on the schedule.
I said ok, then someone lied....and then mentioned that I had heard "someone" talking about my daughter & her appt card etc....and the mgr said that she had even called the next appt to verify that they were in fact coming, but they were so there was nothing they could do but reschedule her for Monday.
I told her no, and that we would go somewhere else...and walked outside with my daughter...as the "That's fine, Im sorry, Honey, have a good day" came across the counter.
When we got outside, my daughter informed me, that the lady I was speaking to was in fact the lady that had scheduled her, written & given her the appt card....
I told my daughter to get in the car & Id be right back....
I went back inside (the mgr was still talking about me & the situation w/ the other upfront employees, no patients in the lobby waiting)
I stated, and yes I was upset, I did not yell, I spoke firmly and bluntly....and I talk with my hands & headbob....kept my mask on too...I informed the mgr that when she said "someone" had given my daughter an appt card, that it was her, SHE had scheduled the appt, SHE had given the card, and told her that she needed to "own her sh*t" & not lie to me. All she had to say was I made a mistake, I apologize.....but she didnt, she made some BS story about how she didnt know what had happened & that she was sorry....
Just tell the truth, own it, acknowledge it, tell me the truth. Also, if the truth is brought to you. ie: the 9am appt card, my daughter recognizing you....
I wont be back, probably could care less, but I cant trust the dental practices, if ya cant be straight forward & honest at reception/appts

For those that have never been to aspen dental on Emily Dr. I just wanna let you know they all have a great personality. The Dr was great. I have always been afraid of the dentist chair, this time I was very confident and calm. I was in and out.. Thank you all keep up the great work you all are doing..

They were very polite and thorough with everything they did an talked about concerning my dental care plan. I would and will definitely go back to them. The exam was the most complete I have ever had from a dental office.

This was my first visit. I an absolutely terrified of the dentist. No particular reason. But the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. Everyone was so sweet, nice and pilot. Even though they had masks on y could still tell they were smiling. Oh and the little t.v. was an awesome bonus you help you stay calm. Thank you for making my visit so nice and easy. I'm not afraid to go back. 10 stars if I could

I am current a college student who works two jobs, so I have a little frustration on how I was treated and responded to.
I came in for a cleaning a few weeks ago. I was given a fluoride treatment and told my insurance would not cover it, on the same day I was told I would need to come back for a fillings in my back teeth. I paid for the fluoride treatment they stated wouLd not be covered by my insurance and left.
Today I went in for my fillings, as soon as I arrive they state that they made an estimate of what my insure MIGHT cover. And I owed $187 up front today for the last visit, and today’s visit. Which I had followed by asking how much my insurance covered last time and this time, in which they had told me they have not yet billed my insurance.
Following the discussion of why my insurance was not billed is was taken back into the room to get my filling. Where I was then greeted by the office manager, who stated I am required to sign the document for care today since I did not pay the full amount. (I only paid $136.. roughly $51). When I asked to see what I would be signing I was told I had to sign it first. I noticed Invisalign was priced on the paper. I stated to the office manager that I did not want Invisalign, I’ve had braces twice and I will not benefit from it so it needs to be removed. She left the room to try to print the paper, and came back with only the iPad/smart device and stated she could not print without my signature. I asked if I could see on the iPad then what I would be signing. She only showed me the pricing of everything and Invisalign was still on the pricing along with the two fillings I was scheduled to get and my previous appointment (in which I had already paid... $46 for the fluoride that ‘wasn’t covered’ by insurance...the last time I was there). I ask her to explain why everything is on there and she stated that it’s estimates and once everything is billed to insurance I’ll get a refund. So I sign everything and the dentist comes in to fill my cavities. WELL, they only filled one cavity, the other one was too small. When it was over and I had walked out of the office I realized they charged me for 2 fillings (priced at $68). They only preformed one filling so I went back in and asked to be refunded because I only had one filling and they charged me for two.
Resulting in them saying they can’t refund me today, it’ll be 5-7 business days. I do not appreciate that They NEVER billed my insurance, AND they charged/quoted me for services I did NOT have preformed or even WANT! I’m young not stupid. I do not recommend, and I hope they will do the right thing because I am going to file a grievance with my insurance against them.

The staff is amazing!!! I am completely terrified of the dentist and needed a lot of work done. They have worked with me every step of the way to get the work done and make sure I am comfortable. I can't thank them enough for helping me.

The people here are actually really nice. I had A LOT of work that needed to be done, and I was a little uncomfortable/embarrassed about going. However, they were are genuinely really nice and told me " hey, your here now and that's what matters".
I recommend this business (Aspen Dental on Emily dr in Clarksburg, W.VA).
