Great Expressions Dental Centers - Cedar Hills

My wife and I started coming GEDC for a little over a year. We really have liked the staff. I have bad teeth and everyone has always been extremely nice with us and helping us get our teeth fixed.

This just changed when I was informed of their price gouging methods they are using during this virus! I have a tooth that may be infected and today, the day before my appointment, they call to tell me they are charging a $15 PPE fee. Wait, what?! I have to pay extra because your office wants to over react to a virus that has a lower risk than the common flu? As well, $15?! I buy masks and gloves for my hobby, in large scale too. How does it cost you $15 per patient to put on a mask and gloves?
Ya, the answer is simple, price gouging!

Love the staff and the dentist. Carrie Owens was so very helpful and aided us with insurance issues and made sure that our son got an appointment for the surgery he needed for his teeth. She went out of her way to help us after a stressful 7 months of seeing many different dentists and trying to get our son the dental work he needed. Would definitely recommend and continue to bring my child here.

Excellent Front office staff. Audrie and Jessica were so helpful and helped settle my mind. Kuan or Quan (sorry if spelled wrong) was WONDERFUL in taking xrays and being a very calming energy at a time of great pain. Dr. Popp also very patient and helpful. One SERIOUS recommendation, unable to reach via telephone..... not sure if this is normal being I am a new patient. I was a walkin and was given great customer service.

I had a temporary crown come off and they got me right in to reseal it.

My wife, my son and I have been going to cedar hills for the past few years. The staff is very welcoming and often laugh and joke with us. Makes the dental experience a million times better. From the front desk to the assistants and doctors our visits have always been pleasant. I have great insurance so the treatment fees are reasonable, I also saw the oral surgeon and he is great too!

Got top braces last week in 45 minutes, and bottom today. The staff--especially Dr. Weber, Roxie, and Angela--are extremely professional, and very fast. Billing was no problem, as well as setting up a payment plan! I enjoy the fun atmosphere!
Update: 2-21-2018 I still love this place! I got a clean bill of health from Shannon, who did my cleaning, and Tiffany, Dr. Weber, Angela, and Danielle always make sure I am on track with my orthodontia--not just for me, but the rest of my family, too!

I went to Great Expressions for the first time to have a general cleaning performed. I was told that based on the x-rays, I had loss of bones and could not receive and general cleaning ever again. Instead, I needed the deep cleaning and from then on, the preventive cleaning. The out of pocket cost estimate was over $200 for only 2 quadrants in which I paid on the date of service. I was later billed in additional $300 plus. When I called the dental office to inquire, the rep informed me that the Insurance company stated they did not charge me enough and the balance due was my out of cost expense. I was upset due to the cost estimate variance of over $300. When I contacted the insurance company, I received a different explanation. The insurance company stated that only $66 was paid because the insurance company analyst determined that I did not have any bone loss based on the x-rays the dental office submitted. Very upset, I called the dental office and requested to speak with the office manager, whom wasn't available. She never returned my call and when I called back, I was told that she could not speak to me. Bottom line this company or at least this office is an Insurance Fraud and I have requested my insurance company to investigate further. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

They are very nice and I had no problems up until a month ago. I went in for a cleaning a couple months ago where they said I had a very small cavity that needed to be addressed before it got worse. So I scheduled an appointment for a filling as directed. A month after the filling, I experienced tooth pain whenever I would chew my food. I told them about it, they had me come back in to get it checked and they worked on my tooth some more. Then they said I might need a root canal and referred me to an endodontist. So I went from a very small cavity to now maybe needing a root canal. I am very disappointed. I will be looking for another dentist so I can get a second opinion. I have only ever had two fillings in my almost 35 years and I did not experience this with my last filling (which was not done at this office). Something doesn't add up. If they messed up while doing my filling, I will never know. But now I have to deal with tooth pain that I did not have before I went to Great Expressions.

My two children love this dentist Dr. Kuhl (Cool) is the absolute best for children. The staff is rather friendly as well. My daughter has aged out she now has to go to general dentistry, but Dr. Kuhl is still able to treat my son and I’m so grateful for that!

I had an unexpected tooth break on me today in the gumline. the office was very friendly and fit me in to be seen, the dentist and dental asst were the best..good thing it was a slow day as I needed a temp crown.
Crazy as the dentist recognized me as she saw me and knew what problem I was having with my teeth.. months ago ..she must have a photographic memory with as many patients as she has
