Shadow Mountain Dental Group and Orthodontics

So Oct. 2018 I went to this office and the recommend for me to have a root canal and a crown put on a back tooth. By Christmas it was broke. They gave me a new crown on February 2019 and I'm told it's a weak tooth. Well less than a month later I am in tremendous pain. I go in office and this doctor knocks on the back teeth asking which one hurts. Adjusted the crown so it didnt feel out of place and sent me on my way. Extreme pain all night long. I go to a different office and I'm told the tooth cracked and should be pulled . I was given pain meds and antibiotics because now my jaw is starting to swell and I have tonsil and ear pain. I get a call from this office and i was offered a same day apt but for another evaluation. I made an appointment for Monday. My husband called the office to complain and i was told to come in today at 1pm. I am in office at 1pm and have to sit till 1:40pm before dr. Comes in to look. He says he has to pull it and put bone graft and post and 3 months later a tooth. But he'll give me a deal and since I already bought a crown the next one is free. So the lady comes in with prices....2k and I have to pay $1400. On a tooth they should have pulled in the 1st place. So now I have to live with this pain and find a new dentist. What a joke.

I once had a root canal/crown placed at Shadow Mountain, and what should have only taken 2-3 hours turned into 5-6. After the root canal, my assistant left me stranded in the room while she decided to take lunch. No one was sent to replace her. I had little knowledge about what was happening until the dentist came back concerned and flustered about why I had been left alone, and wondering where the assistant disappeared to. He ended up finishing up her work until someone came back from lunch. . . The dentist and endodontist that worked on me were great, but the rest of the staff was horrible. I would suggest you go elsewhere for quality treatment and customer service.

Customer service was great. However, the quality of dental works is not great. My wife got her teeth crown sometimes in June, 2016. A few days later she was in blistering pain in the area where they worked. Called them and came in for an emergency fixed. Pass forward to October 2017, the crowns are cracking and leaking. Now she have to pay thousands, with insurance, to have another dentist to do it right. I have my teeth crown and filled over 20 years ago and never a problem. Some of the new dentists here need to slow down and take time to do things right the first time. Money and profits are only as good as the quality of works that you provided.

This has been the worst experience for us. We recently moved states and had to change orthodontists. We've had several "second" opinions and all were surprised that my child has been in braces for over 15-months. They would have guessed 3-months from what they saw. We have sent several requests for my child's records and each time they fall on deaf ears. I highly recommend you not go to this office for orthodontics.

I've been here since elementary school and they always treat me fairly well. Last time, I was with Vanessa Smith, and she made scary stuff like lasers and shots bearable, which I appreciated

Quality Customer Service and keeping clients first! I called 6 dental offices seeking emergency services for an infected tooth that was killing me. Not one of the 6 prior to dental offices were helpful nor appear to care about my situation and failed to provide me with any suggestions of what I should do since it was close to the end of the day. However, the staff at Shadow Mountain Dental were so accommodating and flexible. They found a way to squeeze me in the same day! Instead of saying NO like the other 6 dental offices, they found a way to help me! Thank you!

unbelievable that everything has to be over 1k. used to have top notch dentists but now it seams like a training center for over priced wanna be professionals. this office has gone to shit. no loyalty to a paying customer at all. me and my wife spent over 4k in 6 months. they did a root canal and a crown first visit. 2 weeks later it fell off . second dentist was mad because the first dentist that did the crown left that location he tried to charge large fee to fix it. After alot of argument they sent another trainee in to somewhat fix it .one month later shes in dying pain from same tooth ......they tell her everything is good go home if it gets worse we will see what we can do..WTF? my wife calls the next day after crying in pain all night on a friday and they tell her we can schedule you monday for a extraction. (keep in mind these people call tem self professionals). i get on the phone and tell them this needs to be done today. they agreed and after she drives across town they tell her it's a mistake on their part and they need to extract it but will cost us another 1400 dollars. ....... 2400 dollars to take a tooth out...... and practice for the 20 year old student they employ....I will make sure these clowns are exposed for the crooks they are. front office staff and appointment schedulers are great at selling the bullshit these people are selling so beware. will be in touch with bbb and discuss legal actions and take this up with the board

Dr.Shen and Ashley are amazing! I get super bad anxiety coming to the dentist, and Ashley was a sweetheart and calmed all my nerves.
