Family Dental Care on Washington

I love family dental care! They work well with me, explaining what I need to have done. Very descriptive with what they are doing. Work well with when I can make payments and telling me what is important to get fixed first! Chantel is great! And dr B. is so nice and he tries to keep me relaxed while he's working. I would recommend them to anyone!

Dr. Son, Dr. B, and the entire staff have been awesome. I have plenty of work that needs to be done and everyone is helpful and genuinely concerned about my treatment. I couldn't be happier with the way things are going and i would recommend this office to anyone that will listen.

Dr. Buchanan and his staff never disappoint. They're all super friendly, Dr. B is always cracking jokes which is nice. It's a very relaxed atmosphere but also very professional.

I have been a patient here since near the time this office first opened.

I have never missed an appointment and have no problems with my staff and Dentist. However, even though I was 15 minutes early for my appointment tonight my appointment time was given away since I did not confirm my appointment either by phone call or online.

I could see this being a good policy if I had given them a reason to believe that I would miss my appointment (and my two kids at the same time) if there was a history of missed or late appointments. I am very disappointed and we will be seeking other accommodations for our dental needs.

Another issue I have with this practice is the constant up-selling of dental and orthodontic services by our dental hygienists and dentist. It is nothing personal but it is so consistent that it must be part of their business model to require there employees to do this at every opportunity at every appointment.

I feel for your employees and hope that with the obvious turnover of office and dental staff that your current employees find a place of employment with more consumer-friendly policies.

Just recently I had to get dental records transferred to my new provider and they were friendly and professional on the phone.

My first visit wasn't one I'd say was wonderful. I was greeted by rude front desk staff who asked for my license to verify it was me. When I commented that I've never had to do that ever before she snapped that there was rampant identity and insurance fraud...this was concerning. I had my initial exam and was told i would need 800.00 worth of work that my insurance wouldn't cover. I found this interesting and asked if there were other options so that i could get some sort of treatment while i made payments to be able to get the needed treatment and was told no. As I pushed back and said I would find another opinion they were able to get me a 200.00 treatment plan that was never an option to start with. I highly question what is really needed vs.what is recommended. I have witnessed several other people having similar issues since one of the other dentists left the practice.

Desk workers are incredibly unhelpful and patronizing. Specifically Melissa, she could use a refresher in customer service skills and how to talk to people. Overall it was a ridiculous hassle just to be seen by a dentist. I would not recommend and will not return..

Unfortunately I have altered my opinion. Even though I received good care at my appointments I began to feel pressured to continually add on more procedures. And because of immediate payment pressure before leaving each time it turns out an excess balance was built up in our account with no notification. Being questioned about why we wouldn't want to just leave it there the future, we decided to demand reimbursement and seek services elsewhere. My husband's information was transferred without a hitch but mine was not. When I arrived for my first appt. at the new dentist there were no records there. In addition I had already taken my required pre medications so I phoned Family Dental and said I wanted my Xrays emailed immediately. CRICKETS. Never received so I had to absorb the cost of new Xrays. This is no way to handle a business.

First time visit today. Excellent, professional, and friendly staff all around. It was a pleasant experience even though I was dreading “going to the dentist.” Highly recommended.

Everyone from the office staff to the dentist really actually care about your dental health. They are all warm, kind, and friendly. I actually do like going to the dentist now.

I have a severe fear of dentists, but Dr. Buchanan and rest of the staff made me fear nothing! I felt as though my anxiety was taken seriously and wasn't something they just set aside without concern. It was a wonderful feeling to have a staff be so attentive to how i was doing throughout my entire visit.
I'll never go anywhere else!
