I gave 2 stars because of the front staff, particularly Jenny. I've had a few unpleasant encounters with the front staff but I always brushed it off because the entire back staff are amazing! Recently Jenny was rude and extremely condescending to the point where I have canceled upcoming appointments and switched to a different provider. She really needs a lesson in customer service if she's going to be the first point of contact and represent this company.

Best group of people. Front office peeps great. Always willing to go the extra mile. Dr Hanks is awesome. Skilled, thorough, goes above an beyond to make you comfortable, and always gives you options without pressure. I highly recommend.

I went to Friendly dental with my son from r the first time yesterday and they were nothing short of amazing. Their staff was super friendly and the doctor was very nice and super with children. I have been a patient now for 4 years. Every time I step foot in there, I am greeted with smiles and professionalism. My daughter who was terrified of dentist (she'd been to several)and she wouldn't even let them check her teeth. She enjoys going and looks forward to seeing everyone and she no longer conplains about getting her teeth cleaned since starting there! One happy customer!!

Yes the staff is friendly and nice but this dentist is overpriced. They scare people into thinking that they need procedures right away and that's not the case. I got a second opinion after several visits and not only did I learn that I was being overcharged, I also found out that being that I had one of the best insurance plans out there this practice was taking full advantage of the perks! The doctor is very greedy! Once I told him I got a second opinion and told him the drastic changes in pricing he laughed and said "In my opinion what they are charging you isn't enough" I never went back after that statement. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!

I had a filling done at another dentist office about 7 years ago, and something wasn’t right. The tooth has hurt badly for 7 years. I’ve gone to multiple dentists who all said the tooth is fine and would send me home. When I came here, they did a ton of xrays. In the xrays, they noticed a gray spot underneath the filling. She said it was either an air pocket or they didn’t remove all the cavity. Either way, she was going to redo the filling. Today is the one day after I had the filling redone and I can say I have no pain at all anymore. I can’t thank this dentist enough! She was wonderful, and she went above and beyond to figure out where my pain was coming from! I’d highly recommend this office!

UPDATED review 1/12/21. I use to love this dentist but I agree with the other recent reviews.
The new front desk staff is rude and difficult to deal with. They have treated me, a long term, patient that my dental needs are unimportant. My appts are continually being cancelled last minute and pushed out for months. I have been patient due to Covid but my patiences has run out. Not sure what is going on over there and why they can't keep hygienists? Always a new one everytime I go and I go every 3 mos. Dr Barnwell is great but he has lost my business. I hope they get it together for his sake. The only reason for 2 stars is for him.
Old review: These guys/gals are great! I'm not the easiest of patients to deal with and they have been so nice and caring and went over and aboard to make sure I am taking care of. I highly recommend them. They are all very nice and extremely friendly. Dr. Barnwell is a hoot and a excellent dentist. They make you feel like family there. You can't go wrong with this group!

DO NOT GO HERE! I came in to have two small cavities filled. I had them filled by Sean Barnwell. In the process he drilled too deep and killed two of my teeth. Afterward I visited their office 5 times saying how much pain I was in. He was very rude and so were his assisting staff. I was very soft spoken and polite but they continued to say they didn’t see swelling, which was very apparent, and that my mouth was quote “textbook”. So I decide to get a second opinion. My new dentist said I had a very bad abscess and that two of my teeth Sean had treated for cavities were dead. Please, think before going here I had to have a tooth pulled because of this and spent almost a year in pain.

The first visit we got there a few minutes early (my 12yo son and I) we have to use the medicaid transportation who just drops you off and leaves. She refused to let us inside and told us " walk to a gas station " until the open. So we stood outside in the cold about 15 minutes with my broken tooth throbbing. Then today I walk 3 hours to get to my appointment to have the tooth pulled. K called to let them now it said I'd be there at 12:13 is rest OK because I'm walking as fast as I can. She says no because there's a 10 minute grace period. So I walked all that way in serious pain( i have fibromyalgia and asthma along with a heart murmur) for nothing. She was insensitive and didn't care kne bit. I literally cried and begged and all over 3 minutes she said no she could reschedule. Horrible experience. So now I'm walking 3 hours back home with a broken tooth still. Worst people I've dealt with seriously.

Okay, so I understand there are CDC guidelines that the office staff have to follow regarding Covid-19. I get that. But, the front door remains locked during business hours, so you can't access the waiting area. My son and I stood out in the heat, waiting for someone to come around and open the door for us. I told her that we both had appointments, and she told us to wait outside, and she would bring paperwork out that needed to be completed. Two minutes later, she brings out the paperwork. It is either stand on the sidewalk and fill out the enormous amount of paperwork, or go back to your car to complete it. They could at least put some chairs outside for patients to sit on while completing paperwork, or simply waiting to be seen! So, after filling it all out, I go back up to the door, and wait in the heat, to be acknowledged again. They are now ready to take our temperatures before letting us in. My son's appointment was first. They told me I had to wait outside while they took him back for x-rays. I understood that part, that I couldn't go back with him during the x-rays. But I asked them if I could come back with him for his actual appointment with the dentist, because he is only 8 years old and is afraid of the dentist, naturally. They told me I could come in, but I would have to stay in a separate room! Again, I told them he was 8 years old and he needed to have me with him (my son was starting to cry at this point, out of his fear of not having me in the room with him). Then they told me I could come in the room during his appointment, but that I needed to wear a mask. I don't have a mask, and they will not provide one for you. It would have been nice if they would have told me of their procedures and that I was required to wear a mask if I was going to go in the room for my son's appointment BEFORE I had made the appointment! I purposely made our appointments back to back, so I could be with my son for his appointment.
At this point, I was a little upset, okay, a lot upset, and I told them I was cancelling our appointments, and left.
Again, I understand that things are really different right now because of Covid-19, but not allowing me to go into the room with my child during his exam, or being required to wear a mask is something they should have made me aware at the time I made the appointment.
