Hawaii Family Dental - Kona

I'm not a person who loves doctor's/dentist's office visit. But, visiting Hawaii FAMILY Dental is like visiting my extended family members. Most of the time, I end up in the hands of Dr. Coleen Sullivan and Mr. Jeffrey Thomas. It is always a pleasant time spending and catching up with them. Very highly professional and courteous service.

As always my visit to Hawaii Family Dental was a pleasant one. Maryann, at the front desk is always cheery and helpful. The dental hygienist was so sweet and helpful as well. As for Dr. Strommer, I’ve never had a better dentist. His bedside manner is fantastic. He helped me acquire dentures. Getting dentures can be scary and not what you imagined. He kept me informed every step of the way. I feel so comfortable with the staff at Hawaii Family Dental. I would recommend them to anyone that requires any dentistry attention. Thanks to everyone in front and behind the scenes that have helped me.

Received my first dental hygiene cleaning in over 2 years because of a previously very unpleasant experience in another office. Exceptionally professional session with Sabryna (I think that's how she spelled her name), who was caring without being cloying, did every step with a practiced hand, didn't rush but got the job done, and complimented me on my oral hygiene! I'm one of a small number of people who really enjoy getting their teeth cleaned when done right. State of the art equipment, the whole thing was done in less than 40 minutes. Mahalo nui!

My wife & I both had our wisdom teeth pulled recently by Dr. Lum. The whole experience from consult to surgery was extremely comfortable and informed. His bedside manner was wonderful. His assistant Hunter was also very kind and personable. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone on the island!

Our two daughters (2 & 4) also just saw Dr. Keeton. He made the visit so fun by singing songs, cracking jokes, letting them help count each other’s teeth, etc. It was a wonderful experience and we left the office with two confident and giggly little girls. He was great!

Dr Keeton was AMAZING with my 4 year old daughter. She was so scared and non compliant at first but he was so good with her she "gave in" for the exam and cleaning! Since the appointment she has been so motivated to brush her teeth! Very happy with this dentist!

Sabrina is a great professional who makes sure to deliver a perfect job while making you very comfortable and informing you each step of the way. Very pleased with all the stuff also.

Great service, fast and friendly. Went in thinking I was having a root canal, doctor reevaluated the tooth and made repairs instead of root canal. Saved me a lot of money and added some more time before the root canal has to be done. Everyone very friendly in the office.

When I went to last month dec 18, 2020. I usually have hard time going to a dentist, but I actually say I didn't feel anything and for someone is so terribly from needles I couldn't feel anything I will forward anyone have bad experiences just like to go here. I had the best experience with them especially they walk you through everything you is about to do. I can't wait for my next appointment.

I am a huge fan of Hawaii Family Dental in Kona. The administrative staff is always smiling and super friendly, the techs, hygienists, and dentists are top notch! Iʻm a little apprehensive about the dentist (in general) - but I have had fabulous experiences with this group.

Everyone is very friendly and efficient. The dentist was so kind and gentle. My Grand daughter doesn't mind going to the dentist at all. She doesn't even complain about the injections she has gotten. She looks forward to going to the dentist even if she knows she is going to have a procedure done. They have a movie of choice projected on to the ceiling to keep the child distracted. Great office for children because they develop a positive attitude about going to the dentist which will carry on into adulthood. I would highly recommend this office.
