I've been a patient for years but the last two have been progressively disappointing. Haven't been able to have regular check ups because they had to reschedule several times stating once they didn't have enough staff. Next the rescheduled appointment was lost and I had to schedule yey again. When we finally got in, similar experience as others posted, incredible wait time. We waited over an hour. When we asked what was happening they accused me of having the wrong appointment time despite the reminder text message on my phone clearly showing the appointment time. At this point, scrambling to get to another appointment because this took unbelievably long, I couldn't check out because their computer was down and I needed to pay but they couldn't provide a total nor did they offer to invoice me. No one at the front ever apologized for my time nor patience but did instead make me to feel like this was all my fault. The 2 stars are for the hygenist, he was great. Now looking for another dentist, sadly, as my whole family has been patrons here for years. If you can get in the dental staff is 4 stars but good luck having a good experience. You have to first get through the front and they are apathetic.

I have been coming here for years and everyone is usually unfailingly cheerful and informative, helpful and kind. However, on Monday when I had a consult with an orthodontist, his assistant who brought me back to the room and would go on to do the imaging was rude, abrupt, sarcastic and she yanked my mouth around. I had to straighten out something with the front desk about missed communications before I could be brought to the back, so when that was done and she called me, she barked at me that Iʻd kept her waiting, then ignored my questions, talked about me like I wasnʻt there with other techs popping in, and seemed impatient and annoyed. While she was imaging my mouth with the wand she pulled on the sides of my mouth quite hard, to the point where I began to fight tears. Nobody needs this. When you are in a dental chair you feel super vulnerable as it is. I gave my feedback to the orthodontist and he was very professional and warm in his reply and Iʻm sure he followed up. Still, this is the first time Iʻve had a bad experience there and I hope she goes on to some other career where she doesnʻt have to interact with human beings, many of them sick or in pain, or scared. This young woman is in the wrong field.

Dr. Barry Sullivan and his assistant are about as perfect as a team can get. They are friendly, caring and no their trade well. I plan on continuing using these two pros as often as possible

I can't say enough great things about this dentist!
I went in for an exam and x-ray the first day, and a general cleaning the next day.
I've been to several different dentists throughout the USA. This dentist is so far my favorite!
The exam was very thorough, more thorough than any previous exam at other dentistries. The x-rays were also far more thorough and precise than previous offices.
The dental hygienist, Kasey, was very knowledgeable along a long line of topics. I enjoyed having my questions answered with depth and insight, as well as true scientific explanations.
Everyone here was very kind and there are many private rooms!
I would highly recommend this dental office. I will be going in for a wisdom tooth consult and will update my review with the upcoming experience!

Dr Dan Adair is a very young, confident and competent young dentist. My wife saw him last month and was to have her tooth extracted by him, but she cancelled because he would not prescribe her the 20 mg ( 2 pills) of valium for her dental anxiety - he said he would only be "comfortable" with her having one pill...despite her assurances that at 61 years of age and tens of thousands ion dental work, she needed 2 pills. He made her feel like she was a pill popping addict. Shes not. She's going to a oral surgeon for the extraction.
So I took her extraction appt with Dr Adair and he extracted a molar last thursday. It was not an easy extraction and Dr Adair was excellent during the procedure, explaining certain parts of the procedure as they unfolded. I experienced very little pain.
I left without thinking about pain relief...and the next day, I was hurting quite a bit. Of course, the pain really hit by friday night, and I spent the next three nights sleepless and eating a LOT of ibuprofen.
At 62 years old, I have had 4 wisdom teeth extracted and one molar several years ago had to be extracted. I was given pain relief after each, I recall tylenol 3's for the wisdom teeth and vicoden for the molar. Just 5 or 6 pills to get me thru the next few days. Standard practice for pain management.
I get it, Doctors are reluctant to prescribe anything opium related...but part of doing a procedure is pain management, and I experienced way to much pain the last three days. If not for the weekend, I would have beaten down the clinic door for relief, but who wants to go to South Kona Hospital unless you half dead!
So, I suffered, and your ratings as my dentist also are suffering...5 for the extraction and zero for the pain management.
