I found aspen dental in St Cloud when I had a bad toothache and I googled dentists that accept State Insurance. When I called to make an appointment they said they did not take my insurance but because it was pain related they could see me and that my exam would be free.
I went to the appointment and was quoted $2,500 for a cleaning and was prompted to apply for third party financing to cover my costs.
I didn’t realize that I was going to a franchised dental office that operated like a Massage Envy. It was a total waste of time, and unless your care is 100% covered by your insurance, I do not recommend going to Aspen Dental.
I still have a toothache, and I wasted hours of my day.

Absolute zero starts. Start off with the x-rays they knew I had broken teeth and we're rough getting the playic thing in there. After that the nurse which was very nice to me and polite looked at my x-rays and explained to me what was going on. Turns out I have 9 bad teeth and went threw the dentures and partciles ect. Once the actual dentist came in he pushed me to get partials and when I said I just wanted full dentures he said he didn't want to do that and get rid of so many good teeth. Even tho the nurse said before that he wasn't qualified for it. One thing that absolutly pissed me off was the the actual "dentist" didn't even look in my mouth. Also when I went to the stcloud health partners and the took one little look at the inside of my mouth they seen right away I had gum disease and that I only had 3 teeth that weren't decaying from that. I don't recremnd this place to anybody!

Staff didn't seem to understand that their wages are paid by the people who respond to their advertisements. I traveled 45 milest with my wife to have our teeth cleaned. Staff would not admit my wife for cleaning without providing picture ID. My wife didn't have ID with her since since she no longer drives car. I offered to verify my wife of 54 years that she was who she was. They could only suggest a new appointment. Since your staff is unable to think of any way to accommodate her. I will take our business elsewhere. What a shame our time and your advertisement dollars were spent in vain. Not counting future business your business will loose. I WAS A CUSTMER at your st cloud Minn. Location. Would not recommend for anyone.

Pretty good, but not great.
The worst thing about this place is lack of patient communication. They won't explain what's happening or why because they're in a hurry. They'll answer if you ask, but otherwise nothing. For example, during my cleaning, they just go to town without a word, digging in as you're like "whoa there!" They seem to over book sometimes also, so your appointment time may drag out as you wait.
The dentist will see you for less than a minute for an exam. Just a speed through looking for obvious problems while the assistant writes the results on your chart. This rushing through continues on if you have work done. I had a filling done and they had to keep bringing the dentist back because he left the room before making sure to grind the filling down and doing bite testing film (and I wasn't leaving until it was right).
The positive thing is that Aspen is competitively priced for general service (though they do tend to try to "upsell" you). They require xrays even for a simple cleaning. That said, the billing is convoluted. There is the price (which I believe is for financing), the discounted payment (cash price), a discounted insurance price, and what you actually pay. It seems like certain items, like xrays are adjusted so the total price for the exam is competitive, but individual elements aren't realistic.
Overall, they're a for-profit business, and it's run as such. Okay, but not great.

Worst service ever!!!! My appointment was scheduled at 9:45 and they had people walk on in front of me and they got called first. I was seen at 10:25! It just sad how they treat you in there and don’t try to give you options and just tell you there’s no way they can save your actual teeth and right away said I need dentures. Just sad how they operate in there. I will not recommend people here ever!

Had a dental emergency, infected abscess tooth. I was told by the ER to get it removed. Called aspen dental and they said they had financing and there would be no upfront cost. I got there and they demanded 60% down before they even started the procedure. Nurse was very hostile the second she knew I couldn't pay upfront.

I had a great experience. I had a tooth extraction and they told me what was going on and what was going to happen every step of the way.

So far so good, I am still in the middle of everything that they need to do, will let you know again when I am finished. Ok it has been around 9 months and I have my final partial and upper full denture. I do like the job they do. I think they look nice and feel very nice. I would recommend them!

Honestly probably the worst customer service experience I ever had. I was 5 mins late to my appointment due to leaving work and traffic. I was talked to with just flat out rudely. No patients were waiting in the room and I was told I was holding up everyone’s else appointment. The manager showed me the paperwork explaining that it takes 15 mins to fill out. Clearly it only takes 5 mins to fill out basic information and sign. I was asked to reschedule again only literally being 5 mins late to appointment pushed out almost 2 weeks. I will honestly never EVER think about going here again or any other aspen dental for that matter!
