KidsKare PC Family Dentists- Las Cruces

I came here with my wife, because she had been experiencing severe tooth pain over the weekend from an abscess. We walked in first thing on Monday morning to ask for an appointment. The receptionist asked how severe the pain was, to which my wife replied a 10/10 , and explained to the receptionist we had been to the ER the day prior for the same pain, and they told us to get an appointment asap. The receptionist then turned us away and told us to come back the next day at 8 am. This is the point at which we should've gone to a different dentist, but instead she endured another day and sleepless night, and we returned the following day at 8 am. We waited approximately 30 min before she was called back to be seen. Once we were called back and got a room the dentist came to talk to us. He was very unprofessional in his behavior the entire 30 to 45 min we were there. He proceeded to grind at her teeth for about 20 to 30 min claiming that it would provide her with temporary relief, all the while my wife was writhing in pain on the chair. He also berated her the entire time saying remarks like "you've been chomping with your teeth for months", and "it doesn't hurt that bad, it's just floss". Once he was done with what seemed like torture he stormed off saying "she needs a specialist". At this point we were both in shock at the behavior, and we were thankful that the hygienist was nice enough to provide her with a free x-ray. She then said this is a very serious abscess and she referred us to a specialist, who got her fixed up that same day with the root canal she needed. We will never be coming here again.

I have taken her to several dentists over the years. She has always been scared to death, and getting a filling always meant a trip to the hospital and putting her under. Then we found Dr Rhodes here at KidsKare Dental. What an angel! He managed to get 13 fillings done in 3 visits! A true blessing. This wonderful Doctor has a remarkable relationship with kids. By the way, she is autistic, and 16 years old! I highly reccomend this man for anyone who has fears of dental work..

My experiences here have far exceeded my expectations. The dentist and all staff are knowledgeable and friendly. My wife and I are both impressed with the level of care and compassion we have received here. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Rhodes is a excellent dentist and was great with my daughter. I'm very glad to have him as her dentist. I wouldn't have anyone else work on her teeth. Thank you Dr. Rhodes.

Yvonne and Lorraine both assisted me for my cleaning today, they made me feel welcomed, comfortable and did everything in a timely and cleanly fashion. Definitely will return.

Absolutely worthless. First of all the only helpful individual encountered was ONE woman at the front desk. The “hygienist” Or whatever her actual title is was absolutely the rudest person I’ve ever encountered. She’s clearly never had to interact with the general public based on her complete lack of social skills. Customer service is really not a thing that this office has any idea of. It was really awesome that my TEN YEAR OLD CHILD had to have someone poking her in mouth that was a complete waste of a human.

if I could give negative stars, I would. DO NOT GO HERE!!! When originally booking with them, I asked specifically about the reviews regarding patient wait times. I was assured that they had a transition of management and are now on top of it. THIS WAS A BLATANT LIE. My husband had an appointment this morning (3/20/17) at 10am. He waited for an hour and then was told it would be another 30-45 minutes. At this point I reached out to the office myself. Here is the explanation that I received:

The office manage (Heidi) has a triple booking policy. This means that every appointment time must have 3 clients scheduled at the same time in order for the scheduler to start offering appointments further out. In our case, this means that the provider was scheduled for a root canal, a crown w/fillings and my husband's root canal evaluation all at the same time. I was also informed that evaluations (should be a 10-15 min appointment) are seen last on this list.

They are in fact under new management. The new office manager's name is Heidi. I have been informed that this is her policy. Scheduling is her decision. The dentists do not control this policy. I also asked specifically if they understood that this policy basically tells clients that the dentist's time is the only valuable time and communicates to their clients that their time is not valuable. I was told that they do understand this and that they consider the dentist's time to be unquestionably more valuable than the time of the waiting client.

In short, this practice (specifically the office manager Heidi) does not respect their clientele. I have also filed a complaint with my insurance provider.

I repeat DO NOT GO HERE!!!

**UPDATE: At the close of the evaluation, my husband was referred to a dentist in El Paso because the provider (Dr. Oushy) Did not want to work with a client with a mental health condition. My insurance has recommended I file a complaint with the State Board of Dentistry. I will be doing so**

I don't know how many people become fans of their dentist but they sure have the staff that is the bomb and amazing and the hospitality was way beyond.to be greeted with a smile an d by name is unheard-of now a days Dr. Appointments have always made me feel at home and not just the next patient never have I experienced such great service on a hospitality clinic. I will let my friends and family to come to Kids Kare that's for sure.

The best dental care for kids hands down!!!!! I've taken my kids to other places and got so terrified to let anyone work on my kids teeth. My son had very bad cavities and he was horrified of the dentist because of other dentists we went to. My son is 7 years old and needs 4 crowns and 4 fillins. I was so nervous during the appoinment that my husband had me wait in the waitng room while he went in with our son. An hour later my son walked out with the biggest smile on his face and said " mom it didn't even hurt and they were nice and I'm so glad and proud my myself mom, I did it!" I teared up because I was just so happy and so relieved that he had an awesome experience for the first 2 crowns :) they did the first procedure 2 crowns on his worst teeth and just used a litle nitrous oxide to relax him ( I'm extremely paranoid about anesthetics for my child) so knowing he was awake that whole time is just pure happiness for me and him. I'm extremely grateful and I appreiciate the staff do much, I thanked God over and over for them. They are true angels!

Linda, Danielle, and Eliana are the best ! Thanks to all of them for receiving me and my siblings. They are the best in the business! Love them so much. Linda has received me ever since I was little with open arms and a big smile!
