My regular dentist retired, so I went to Aspen Dental to get my teeth cleaned.( I had tried Aspen before, wasn't happy, but now a new dentist owned it.) The people there were really nice. They did X-rays and examined my teeth. I have a partial, and the dentist said that one of the teeth that my partial mounts on, needed to be pulled. He said I would also have to replace my partial, which was less than a year old. He said he would have me meet with someone about my plan of care. They have me meet with their finance manager. I am told my teeth need to be deep cleaned, tooth pulled, and new partial made. They can set up financing. Then they give me a staggering amount. (And I have insurance) I said no, I just want my teeth cleaned today. They said they could not ethically just give me a regular tooth cleaning. Really? I get my teeth cleaned twice a year on a regular basis. I called another dentist. He cleaned my teeth(regular cleaning), pulled the tooth, and added a clip and tooth to my current partial. At a cost of $138.00, no financial counselor needed.

I am writing this review to express my disappointment with the office in Lexington, KY. My mother visited this clinic for a tooth that she needed to get fixed. She was unfortunate that the temporary tooth she received from this office broke a month after they told her that it would last six months. Pandemic hit, and the office was not seeing patients, which was understandable. When they opened back up, they made no effort to try to see her. At this point, she had already been without a FRONT tooth for months. Her appointment kept on been pushed and pushed until I called, and the gentleman that helped me was kind enough to find an appointment for her sooner.

When I took her to this appointment, they explained to her that the whole process from the time of this visit, until she received her permanent prosthetic, was about 2 to 3 weeks, length of time that she was already not happy with. Still, she finally understood and decided to continue with the process. This appointment was June 7th or around that date. Today is June 22nd, and she just got a call that her wax "whatever" was ready, and she can try it on July 14th because that was the soonest appointment. To then wait a few more weeks for her prosthetics to be ready. I AM SORRY!! But missing a front tooth should be addressed as more urgent or in that category for an EXISTING patient. This is causing her speech problems, and psychologically affects her.

I would love to hear from them how many times they would go out in public, speak to someone, or laugh for that matter when your front tooth is missing!!!

Why am I so disappointed??

The whole process was not explained to us the right way. I am not a dentist or never worked in the dentist's office to know the complexity of these processes to assume I know what it is going on.

You told a patient that a process would take weeks when it is going to take months.

You don't say I am sorry that's all I can do without even trying to find an alternative solution. There are other offices at reasonable driving distances, how about trying to find her an appointment in another location so she can be seen sooner?

Or, the best one yet, I can give you your money back, and you go somewhere else.

No, we don't want our money back, we want her tooth to be fixed!!
Guess what, not only you lost this existing client after she gets her prosthetics, but you lost my entire family as clients.

I am just hoping you learn from this one and understand that missing a tooth is not something someone wants to be dealing with for months!

My first visit was very warm and friendly. The staff made me feel like I really lived there. I mean they showed and told me everything I needed to know concerning new dentures and about what to expect. My next visit is May 25 and I can't wait to see them.

I went to them for a cleaning and they suggested all this additional cleaning. I have insurance and they said the copay is 900$. I did not believe that my teeth are that bad. I went to a different place. All they suggested is regular cleaning and my insurance covered all the cost. They will add all kinds of additional non needed procedure to make money of you.

Very unprofessional office management. When I arrived to my appointment that I scheduled six months ago (15 minutes early), I was informed that it had been cancelled for me and given to another patient because I had not 're-confirmed' my appointment via text message the day before. Scheduling my appointment in the first place is my confirmation that I will be there. The office simply did not keep my appointment. They offered to squeeze me in, but after an hour of waiting, I left. I won't be returning.

Everyone I dealt with (Office Manager, X-Ray tech, Dental Assistant, Dentist, Hygienist, Billing Coordinator) were all very friendly, professional and easy to get along with.

Services provided were the most comprehensive and professional I have dealt with in more than 2 years.

I'll definitely continue to be a patient at Aspen Dental, Lexington.

Aspen Dentals staff were very professional and hospitable. Made the whole process much easier than any other dental office I have been to. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Staff very professional and helpful. Answered questions I had completely. Everyone tries to do the best for you! If you can enjoy getting dentures, I was very happy when I left their office.

I'd give no stars if I could... First day I went, the first thing my "dentist" (Dr. Price) asked me was if I was getting some teeth pulled.. I was there for a couple fillings that wouldn't even take place until the next appointment. She apparently had gotten me mixed up with another patient. I should've found a different dental office then because the same lady ended up messing up my fillings and I had to go back and get it redone entirely (by a different dentist of course). Now while that visit was "free", Aspen is now trying to charge me MORE for the original appointment that messed up my fillings. Apparently "my insurance doesn't cover fillings" which is complete bs. Maybe I should also add that I'm currently already paying for what my insurance supposedly didn't cover for all the other cleaning appointments after the very first. Never going back.

Disclaimer: The dentist who fixed Dr. Price's mistakes was great, and I've had no problems from the side she did by herself. I only wish I knew her name to recommend if you for some reason still decide to go to aspen.

If I could give them a zero I would, but it will only allow me to put one star for the lowest rating. They are terrible I beg you do not go to them. The moment you guve them your money the service changes from excellent to get you out of the office. I continuously told them that my dentures were not comfortable. That they didn't look right. They kept telling me I just had to get used to them, and that they knew what they were doing. I eventually got my set of dentures and had to file them down myself so they would be at least look right. My dentures are painful to wear. When they had me try out their final set I told them that it was terrible I didn't like it and they turned it back on me saying why didn't I tell them before they made this it that I was uncomfortable with them and didn't like them. so now I'm stuck with this set of dentures that hurt to wear that I had to file down with sandpaper myself so I didn't look like I had big rabbit teeth. Absolutely the worst experience I've hhad. And I paid $900 for pain every day. Go anywhere else but this place.
