Real Life Dental

Real Life Dental was wonderful with my five year old for her first dental visit. She was so nervous and they were extremely patient with her and took time to explain each tool and step to her throughout her entire visit. I can’t imagine a better first time dental visit. They were wonderful!

I think this place is great and very informative of the care they are providing. They also have an affordable dental savings plan that makes care realistic to receive if they do not accept your insurance (in my instance). I appreciate all the time the hygienist took to explain things to me and make me feel better by cleaning my teeth. Very friendly and kind!

The ALL TIME BEST experience at a dental ofc. Went out of their way to serve me. Best quality of care — ever. Everything 5 star…. They even do their OWN lab work in-house. Staff and dentist— amazing. I am so impressed. Switched from my former dentist who could not repair my filling — today.

We moved from NC and needed to transfer to a new dentist. The online reviews of Real Life Dental in Christiansburg were great, so we tried it. My wife and I both had our first visit today for cleanings and routine exams and were very impressed. Both of the dental hygienists we each saw were very nice and professional. The dentist was great as well. So far we have been impressed and would recommend them.

Medical care was top notch, but this practice is a money grab. Went for a first visit just looking for a standard cleaning and they proceeded to perform a bunch of fancy 360 X-ray procedures that were not covered by my insurance. I was pretty clear with them during the visit that I knew my insurance would cover a standard cleaning, but was hesitant about these additional images that were not required in my case (I'm young, healthy, and just needed a standard cleaning). When I left, they re-assured me that my insurance would cover the cost of the visit. 40 days later I received a cryptic email saying that I was delinquent on the charges of my visit. My stomach sank because I knew those charges must have been related to the additional images that they performed. Hard to be "delinquent" when the first you hear of it is via email, with no further detail. I responded immediately and received no reply. A few weeks later I received the bill, more than 60 days after the visit. Sure enough, my insurance covered the standard bite x-rays and cleaning, but did not cover the "whole mouth 360 x ray" that I knew would not be covered. I called to express my disappointment and received a "tough luck, that's our standard protocol" response. Good work guys! You squeezed all you could out of a new patient with unnecessary images -- won't be returning. Funny thing is all of the junk "gift baskets" they provide probably would cover the cost of the extra procedures they performed. In sum, money grab. No thanks.

Very respectful of my time. Actually got me in at an earlier time. Dr Thompson gives easy to understand options and is proactive in getting the ball rolling. Clean and well-equipped offices. Polite and friendly staff. Dental hygienist very comfortable doing her job. Also appreciate digital notifications. Thanks to all of you!!!!

Dr. Thompson has been my dentist since the beginning of Real Life Dental. Through the years, he has performed many miracles on my teeth and is responsible for the fact that I can still chew. He has been unfailingly kind and caring.

Yesterday, at Real Life Dental, Anne was my super hero. Driving into the RLD parking garage, my car blew a tire. Anne literally arranged to have my tire fixed and got me home safely. I can't thank her enough for her help and kindness.

I am very thankful for Real Life Dental and the wonderful people who work there.

I live out of town and was visiting my daughter at VT. A temporary cap that was put on at another dental clinic came off and my daughter checked with Real Life Dental to see if they could fit me in. It was at the end of the day and the dentists were going home, but they took the time to see me and fixed my temporary so I could enjoy Christmas! Everyone was so helpful and compassionate. A+++

Received a crown to replace my broken tooth. Dr. Thompson and Lisa were precise and caring in the preparation and installation of the beautiful new tooth. I was also fascinated watching the crown being made on site. Any question I had was answered clearly. I love this practice!

Everyone there was so caring and friendly and very helpful. My dentist was the very best!He was so kind.I highly recommend Real Life Dental they're the very best. I've always had a great experience if you haven't been you should really give them a try🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
